Finally made his Formula 1 debut in 2022 after he deputised for a stricken Alexander Albon at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. He finished ninth which earned him a drive at Alpha Tauri for the 2023 season but was dropped half-way through the 2023 season. The winner of the 2019 Formula 2 Championship and the 2021 Formula E series, Nyck also has a string of titles to his name in karting and Formula Renault. Nick was on the periphery of Formula 1 for some time before his debut, acting as a tester for both Mercedes and Aston Martin. He moved to Formula E for the 2023-2024 season, as well as endurance racing, but also has done studying on a Harvard course and plays golf. Continues with Formula E, amongst other series, in 2025 and the World Endurance Championship.
