Died relatively recently, in his native Illinois. Lee was a regular back marker in USAC events in the 1950's and early '60's. A long-time resident of Mahomet, in Illinois, Lee, whose real name was actually Leo, had, at the time of his passing, fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Drollinger served his country in the US Navy during World War two. He was the owner of Drollinger Auto Repair for many years, and also enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of American Legion, Seymour, and VFW Post 5520, Champaign, Illinois.
