A brave man who raced with a deformed right hand and partially deformed legs, which meant a long fight against the authorities to even gain an international racing licence. Also worked as a travelling salesman to raise funds, before dying of his injuries sustained in a crash, at a sports car race in Spa. A mark of how good Scott-Brown was came from no less a racer as Juan-Manuel Fangio, who described Archie as a phenomenal driver with uncanny car control.
