Raced sporadically both pre-war and post World War 2, mainly in AAA events. Fowler, who died of lung cancer, raced from the mid 1930's onwards, primarily on dirt ovals. His best finish in an AAA event was at Altoona in 1935, where he finished fifth. He raced at three Indianapolis 500's, starting two (in 1937 and 1947) and 1948, he appeared again by relieving Chet Miller for 20 laps. At the end of the season, Ken appears to have retired from the sport.
