One of the least known entries in the history of the Indy 500, his 1946 efforts appear to be one of a handful of racing attempts. However, racing ran in the family, as his brother George was a Indy 500 starter who was killed in 1940. Harold worked as a truck driver, and like his brother, spent most of his adult life in Detroit.
