Brother of Lou, often listed as 'Ned Meyers', he later ran Eddie Meyer Engineering in Hollywood, California. After three years working for a good wage as an engineer at the Kissel Car Company, Meyer set up his business in 1919, initially repairing Model T Fords in Redlands, California. He then became a racing car driver, racing a Rajo Model T in 1923 and 1924. Meyer was joined by his son, Bud, in 1928, and Eddie ran the main business, whilst Bud ran the shop, allowing Eddie to race for a few more years. The business then concentrated on flathead speed equipment productions from the late 1940’s through the early 1950’s, which helped a number of speed record attemptees. Eddie sold the business in his eightieth year to Bud, enjoying a near decade of retirement. The company eventually went of business in 2002. Meyer moved to America, with his father, who would later become a motorcycle racer, in 1896.
