Son, Steve, later became a mechanic. Had a long and successful career, starting in 1923, and kept some links with the sport for some years. Retired in 1940 as he was newly married, and then later worked in aviation during WW2. After the war, he ran a car repair business and also worked as a race promoter at Arlington Downs and Del Mar. Later on he became an advisor to film directors for racing related movies, ran an automotive air conditioning business and then finally a car wash in Brownsburg, Indiana.
