Killed in a F2 race. Verstatile racer, particularly good in sportscars, winning Le Mans in 1955 and 1957. Began racing in 1952, and in 1953 came to note with some strong performances in F3. It was from 1954, when he joined the works Cooper team that his career really took off, with a win in the 1955 500cc F3 Hillclimb Championship. Bueb also raced in touring cars and rallies before his tragic death, on the same day as Jean Behra.
