After racing, he became head of Velie Motor's racing activities, after racing in the first Indianapolis 500 for the outfit, finishing in 17th place, which ended up being his last race. Hall also worked as a mechanic for Chevrolet. Hall didn't race for that long, mainly between 1909 and 1911, as both a racer and as a riding mechanic. He died in Indiana in 1940.
