Later involved in military aviation during World War One, being a test pilot for the fledgling US Air Force, before going into altitude record attempts and was the Governor of the Aero Club of America.Caleb then became a speedboat racer in the mid-1920's, before becoming a full-time businessman. He worked for Wright Aeronautical, Langley Aviation and then CM Keys Aircraft Service before he began to suffer ill health in the late 1930's, which he was later to die from aged only 57. Caleb was the son of a publishing tycoon who had the budget to race, but Bragg also knuckled down and graduated from Yale and was more than capable as a racer, winning the 1912 American Grand Prix.
