Founded his own racing team, which eventually made it to Formula 1, where, for a private constructor, he achieved huge success. Financial pressure forced him to sell in 2005, but he retains an active link with the sport, as well as pursuing other business interests, like in the media (including as a columnist and TV analyst) and music industries. In 2021, he became an investor in a travel and logistics firm. Jordan initially planned to be a dentist before working in the Bank of Ireland before taking up racing in his mid-20's. He was an able enough driver, racing in Formula 3 and Formula 2 as well as World Sportscars, but his focus soon switched to running his own team.
