Dirt oval specialist, of Danish ancestry, killed during a qualifying crash at Middletown. Albertson took up racing towards the end of the '10's in half-mile ovals but it wasn't until 1922 that his career really took off after an impressive second at the 1922 New York State Fair race, whilst still racing as an amateur, which he remained all his racing life, as he operated a gas station in Penn Yann. As well as racing, he was a racing car owner. But it was on dirt tracks that Albertson excelled overall, with many wins in his state.
