Prepared his own cars, but his Indianapolis 500 appearance in his own Studebaker car, was one of very few forays in the sport. As such, therefore, it is very difficult to find much else out about Ray, both personally, or professionally, other than his life dates and his non-qualification at the speedway in 1937.
