Raced in the Porsche Supercup for some years, then switched to GT racing and sportscars - being particularly strong in Spanish GT events - and rallying, but has now stopped racing. For a while, Pedro had a kart team but is now spending more time as a civil engineer and in complete contrast to this role - and his racing - as a comic book writer! He was also a very successful singer as a child, singing from 1976 until 1983, when his voice broke. Before then, he released four albums. Couceiro won the Portuguese Formula Ford title in 1990, and moved up to Formula 3000 before branching out into other disciplines within the sport. Angolan born, he remained there until 1974 and as well as music, showed real prowess in football - having trials for Benfica - and also swimming, where he won numerous backstroke races. Pedro is now also a UNICEF ambassador.
