Died at his home of natural causes recently. Jack, real name, John, was still involved in motorsport for a long time as he helped the family run motorsport team and he also used to supply parts to racing garages. He also rented out apartments for a long while and spent years raising money for children who have cancer. Conely served in the United States Air Force and then took up racing properly once he was demobbed. Conely built his own cars, and subsequently, Chevy engines, which he continued to do after his racing retirement in 1974 when injuries sustained in a 15 year career, largely in supermodified cars, started to take their toll.
