Born in a Buddhist temple, peace and quiet has never been Hideshi's idea of fun! Came into racing late and only really came into driving at 26, when he did some stunt driving in his brother-in-law's (famous Japanese film star Beat Takeshi) films. Although he works as a motor racing journalist and commentator, he still drives, including as a stunt and test driver. He also runs an anti-aging course, which teaches how to keep fit and well as people get past 50 years of age.
