Killed in a midget crash when a competitor, unsighted, unwittingly pushed Haddad towards the wall, starting a chain-reaction of crashes that Eddie did not survive. A small chap, of Syrian background, who often played up to the part of a villain for publicity, but was well liked and respected within the racing fraternity. Was also a racing pioneer of nitromethane fuel. Haddad raced midgets on the West Coast of America from the 1930's until his passing, with only World War Two intervening, but just before his death had returned to his native State to race there.
