Sprint car ace who later became NASCAR's North Eastern field manager. Sall was of Dutch-Italian ancestry who worked in a few garages to improve his automotive engineering skills, before taking up racing in 1927. Won the 1933 AAA Eastern Championship. Sall, who wore spectacles when racing, continued racing until 1946 after a successful career, with his niche being his prowess on dirt-tracks in both sprint and midget cars. Sall's father was called Rafael Saldutti, with the name changed to Sall once Rafael and his Dutch wife arrived in the US.
