Former electrician and mechanic, killed in a crash. Best in dirt-track events. Frankie initially worked as a newspaperman, before becoming a welder in a steel mill. He took up the sport in the mid-1930's and gave up welding to try and make it full-time in racing. He originally raced in outlaw events but then worked on speed records and in 1937 won the AAA Eastern and the AAA Southern Championships. Beeder then decided to do a tour of racing which included the Allentown Fair Sweepstakes, a race he won in 1936 and 1937. However in 1938, he locked wheels with another driver and died from the injuries sustained in the resulting crash.
