One of the greatest drivers never to make to F1, Kristensen has not looked back since leaving single-seaters. He had 5 titles before F3000 and in 1997 won Le Mans. This led to German touring cars and then finally, with Audi, to ALMS and Le Mans. He took three straight wins with Audi at the 24 Hours between 2001-2003. His 4th straight success, came as part of the winning Bentley crew. On top of all this, he became ALMS champion in 2003. He took a record 7th Le Mans win in 2005, an 8th win in 2008 and also broke the Sebring wins record in 2006. Has also raced in touring cars, but retired from that discipline in 2009. In 2013, he won his 9th Le Mans and yet another title - the Le Mans Series title. In 2014, he was made the equivalent of a Knight in his homeland and at the end of the year, he retired from driving to become an ambassador for Audi. He still does this, historic racing, works as an ambassador for Rolex as well, is a TV commentator and is President of the FIA Driver's Commission.
