Mechanic and car dealer who appeared as a relief driver in 1929. He later became the winning chief mechanic at the 1948 Indianapolis 500 with Lou Moore's Blue Crown Special. Roscoe was one of Moore's closest friends who entered the young driver in local events in California and supported his early career. Moore repaid Roscoe with a good job in the pitcrew and the two remained close for many years. Roscoe was a very adept test driver, but rarely raced in events.
