Died after a long fight against illness. SCCA stalwart who was the 1959 USSC Driver of the Year and also took a Daytona 24 Hours class win. A regular competitor in sportscars from the early 1950's onwards, he became well known in his area for his Jaguar D-Type, which he drove to a win in the 1956 Watkins Glen sportscar Grand Prix. He then also drove an Aston Martin to win the 1959 Nassau Trophy and also won a heat in a Formula Libre race which led to him hiring Mike Taylor's Cooper to compete in the US Grand Prix. Constantine retired in the mid-1960's as illness took its toll on him.
