Worked primarily as an engineer. A veteran driver, he raced for a long time but without major success. He had a long period between Indianapolis 500 attempts, with his 1933 effort coming with him entering his own built special. Davidson was also based in San Bernardino and Mississippi during his career and also ran a garage.
