Francesco returned to the Indycar Series in 2015 for a part-season after being in the series for a couple of races in 2010. Before his first spell in the Indycar Series, Dracone raced in the Italian Formula 3 and the Italian Euroseries Formula 3000 championships. In between his two IRL spells, Francesco raced in ALMS and Auto GP. Dracone, for years, didn't have a drive, but in 2017, returned to racing in the V de V Endurance Series. in 2022, he is in the European Le Mans Series. In 2024, he is both in the Prototype Cup in Germany, but is also doing a lot more motocross recently. Francesco is also currently concentrating on two businesses he and his family are involved in; Halkin Jet, a private jet firm and Miroglio, a large clothes manufacturing and distribution firm.
