Now best known a long-time endurance driver, Neel was in endurance racing and was, for a long time, in Formula E. After losing his full-time seat at the end of 2021, Jani is currently a reserve driver for both Formula E and WEC teams and is in the European Le Mans Series in 2024 and 2025 (with other drives in IMSA/WEC). He won Le Mans in 2016. Jani is the son of a Gujarati Indian father and a Swiss mother. Jani also became Audi's engine tester in 2023 in preparation for their 2026 Formula 1 effort.
