GP2 veteran who arguably deserved better than a few tests in Formula 1 and for Pirelli. Moved to the United States to try and make a career there and after a couple of stop-start years, secured a drive for road and street courses in 2015. 2016 again saw Filippi in the same situation with a part-time schedule. In 2017, Filippi moved into the Blancpain Series and in 2018, Formula E. In 2019, he moved to TCR Europe. In 2021, he moved into the Pure ETCR series and remains there in 2022. Luca has also competed in karts and rallycross, and also worked for Sky Sports as a pundit on their F1 coverage, as well as doing the odd test drive for Pirelli.
