Was last fully involved in motorsport a while back, through his involvement in Allen Berg's racing outfit in Mexico, but made a surprise comeback in 2013, racing in the Seat Leon Super Cup in Mexico and then in 2020, tried out a Mercedes touring car for potential occasional appearances. Guerrero initially tried to progress, somewhat unusually for a Mexican, in South American, and Sudam F3, before moving back to his homeland, winning the 1990 Mexican Formula 3 title, and then taking the Mexican F2 title one year later and in 1992. He then won the F3 title again in 1993 and 1994, which led to his US debut in 1995. Also had a brief spell in sportscars.
