Now retired from driving. Born within a stone's throw of the speedway, he now lives in Arizona, where he also runs a chain of bookshops. He has, in more recent years, been involved in electric racing cars, as he owns one at his home. Roe got into racing initially as a mechanic, working for Clint Brawner originally, before enjoying spells at a number of teams in a similiar role, including Provini Racing, Fletcher Racing and AJ Foyt Enterprises, before eventually taking up racing for himself.
