US legend (4 Indianapolis 500 wins) and Le Mans Winner - 1967 - who still holds the record of USAC wins - 159 - and has won in NASCAR, sports cars, midget cars, single-seaters and sprint cars in a tremendously long and consistently successful career. Still involved in motorsport as a team owner and manager in the Indycar Championship, which he has been doing for some while. Still a pivotal, albeit outspoken, figure of US racing, despite recent ill-health. Away from the sport, Foyt, who has handed part of his role over to adopted son Larry, also likes to run the family ranches.
