Former BMW Track Operations Manager, with a long service in motorsport management, who is now in charge of Red Bull's feeder team. Tost originally started in the sport as a driver, competing in Formula Ford 1600 and Formula Ford 2000, winning the Austrian Formula Ford 1600 series in 1983. However he had already graduated with a degree in sports science before racing and in 1985, stopped racing and became a director and instructor at the Walter Lechner racing school. There then followed a six year spell in charge of a number of lower formulae racing teams, including WTS in Formula 3. In 1995, he joined Willi Weber's management team which put him in close contact with Ralf Schumacher, following the German to Williams in 2000 to become race track operations manager, which he continued until he took over at Toro Rosso.
