Honda's F1 programme head after they returned to racing, he retired from the company after a difficult start to Honda's racing return. He began with Honda in 1981, and during his time there, he worked in Research and Development, becoming the director of the vision. He worked on the Honda City and Legend, led their North American low-emissions project, led their engine development programme and has invented many things including a gearbox shift operating method, an air fuel ratio control system and a throttle control system.
