Employee at Renault from 1999 for over twenty years, who recently was the operations director but in 2016 took over the engine technical directorship for the firm. Bar a spell working with Signature in Formula 3, Remi was with Renault for almost his whole working life. Taffin is a graduate from the acclaimed ESTRACA technical school. During his spell with Renault, he worked in tandem with BAR, Arrows and Red Bull as well as all the different guises the team in Enstone have had. In 2021, it was announced that he had left his role with the company and soon afterwards became the technical director of the Oreca sportscar constructor.
