Winner of the 1920 race who was killed shortly afterwards in an AAA race. Chevrolet was the youngest of the three brothers who was probably the best of them as a racer. Born in France after his family had settled there from Switzerland, Gaston moved as a ten year old with his brother Arthur to follow older sibling Louis and when old enough, started work as a mechanic. Gaston then made it into racing and was at his peak in 1919 and 1920 after an enforced ban by the AAA in 1918 for racing in unsanctioned events.
