Real name is Leif. Until 2008, Conny ran a couple of businesses, including a garage in Nol. The 1972 and 1974 Swedish Formula 3 Champion, Conny also won races in Italian, German, British and European Formula 3. Conny's father also ran a garage, but despite this Andersson got into racing at quite a late age after a long spell in motocross, which started in 1956. Andersson had an uphill battle to make it to Formula 1 and worked as his own mechanic and truck driver when he was racing in Formula 3. After racing, Andersson initially took over his father's garage before expanding to his own business. Conny is now retired and still follows the sport.
