Tim, who lives in Oxfordshire, is now a freelance race engineer (which has led to confusion with the other Tim Wright, who is a race engineer in F1 with Caterham and Force India), running his Wright Engineering Services consultancy business. For fourteen years previous to this, he worked for Renault F1 as a reliability engineer for 14 years, and as McLaren race engineer for six. At Fittipaldi, his main role was a draughtsman, but he also worked for the design team, hence his involvement in the team's 1982 effort.
