Worked for Minardi for many years until 2001, and since then has worked as a consultant engineer, based near Leeds in Yorkshire. Now also more involved in supporting his beloved Preston North End football club and he has a key role in their supporter's club, but also enjoys cycling and walking. He has also worked in marketing recently. Started his career in aerodynamics and wind tunnel research at the Cranfield Institute. His most effective spell in the sport was as Dallara's designer, with the team coming 8th in the 1991 Constructors Championship with some decent results.
