Started his career with Chevron in 1972, and after a brief spell at March, spent 4 seasons with Maurer, including in F2. Worked with Zakspeed between 1984 and 1987 on F1 and sportscars before becoming a freelance designer, mainly on sportscar projects, before a very brief return to Formula 1 via designing the Pacific Grand Prix car in its early stages. Following that, he had 7 years at Reynard, but since 2000 has been working as an independent freelance designer, including projects with sportscars, land speed record cars and a number of automotive development programmes.
