Gilby (1961-1963)

Father of Keith. World War 2 hero who lost an arm in an accident aged sixteen, when he was hit by a bus, but still became a racer and a Spitfire pilot, serving as an instructor as well as a pilot, and rose to the rank of Wing-Commander. Finally retired from driving in the 1950's to set up Gilby and was a huge help to Keith's racing career. Retired after the Gilby project ended, but continued to advise his son, who became a top team manager. Sid's grandson Richard Norris is now the owner of the Classic Alfa business, which sells, restores and buys classic Alfa Romeo racing and sports cars.
