Honda (1963-1968)

Coming from an aeronautical background, Nakamura was involved with Honda for aeons and remained as a consultant with them, right up until 1988. He also worked as a journalist and built and designed Japanese fighter plane engines in World War 2. Through his years at Honda, Yoshio became very close to Richie Ginther, and often holidayed with Ginther in the US and Mexico. A great animal lover, Yoshio was a keen traveller, inquisitve and fully embracing of the area he visited - once, when Yoshio was at Sunday market in Rosarito, Mexico, it was thought he was lost - until he was discovered in amongst a huge crowd of Mexicans sampling the local cuisine, which he enjoyed so much. Died after suffering from heart problems in late 1994.
