Hugely successful car dealer, of Yugoslav descent, from the California area who linked up with Parnelli Jones. Miletich got into the car industry in the 1950's, managing a Ford dealership in Torrance, California, where he got to know local racer Jones. Miletich decided to set up his own stock car team racing on the West Coast circuit with Jones as a driver and it blossomed from there. Miletich won the 1970 and 1971 Indianapolis 500 as a car owner, with Al Unser Sr. winning, 5 USAC Championships and fifty-three Indycar Races. His cars also entered drag racing, off-road racing and the Formula 5000 Championship.
