Indy Lights Champion, with nine wins, in 2018; Patricio made his Indycar debut soon afterwards. He impressed mightily, finishing in the top 10 and drove in the series full-time in 2020. He remains there in 2025. After graduating from karting in 2013, Pato raced in a wide variety of series and places; Pacific Formula 2000 and Pro Mazda in America, Latam Formula 2000 in his homeland and then in Europe, the French Formula 4 Championship. From 2015 onwards, he concentrated on Mexican and American feeder series, before becoming a regular sportscar driver in the US Sportscar Championship. In 2017, he won his class at both the Daytona 24 Hours and the 12 Hours of Sebring, becoming the youngest ever class winner at both races. He also won the class championship of the North American Endurance Cup Series. In 2019, he dovetailed Indycar drives with a Red Bull Formula 1 junior development and testing role, but also appeared in Formula 2 and Super Formula as part of his Red Bull duties.
