Now lives in Canada, working in business. Still keeps links to the sport though. American born, Mark was raised near Dublin, Ireland which is the country where he started his racing career. His family had a mining business, hence his place of birth, and they also moved to Australia. Galvin combined Formula 3 with sportscars, and won the IMSA class at Le Mans in 1987. His Formula 3000 attempt was a brief one - a bad batch of petrol affected numerous aspects of his car, and as a result Mark didn't feel F3000 worked for him enough to stay in the category.
