Fish was an immensely talented driver who excelled at lower level single-seaters but didn't get the break into a higher level of single-seaters in Europe. An equal of Tommy Byrne, Martin Brundle and Ayrton Senna in terms of race results in Formula Ford and Formula 3, Fish moved to America to race in both North American Formula Atlantic (East Coast Division) and sportscars. He won the former in 1987, but never made the step up to the Indianapolis 500 either. However his talent was evident by taking a number of class wins in sportscars. He still lives in the US and he is currently an analyst and commentator for NBC Sports in the US, covering such series as the United SportsCar Championship.
