Became another young CART hopeful to switch to Grand-Am, but returned to Champ Car in 2007. After the series ended, he moved back to Grand-Am, where he remained until 2014, when he joined the new United Sportscar Championship. Still there in 2024 although he is also in the GT World Challenge America series. Although Ryan has been successful in sportscars, he also did well in single-seaters. Dalziel was runner up in British Formula Vauxhall and British Formula Renault in consecutive seasons but a move to America in 2002 reignited his career and in both 2003 and 2004, he finished as runner-up in the series, taking six wins over two years.
