Veteran driver, largely in USAC events, who raced at the top level between 1976 and 1983, although he attempted a racing comeback in the late 1980's. His finest moment was both winning the Tony Bettenhausen 100 at Springfield, Illinois in 1982, a dirt oval track race which was part of the USAC series, and winning the 1979 USAC Silver Crown title. Started his career as a 6 year old in quarter-midgets. Still alive, but for a number of reasons moved away from racing, although he did build go karts for a long while. Lives in Temecula, California
