Rob also performs as a session guitarist. Now lives in London, England, where he is also a driver coach to a lot of drivers, including Kimi Raikkonen, Takuma Sato, Valttieri Bottas, Nico Rosberg and more recently, Alex Lynn and Tio Ellinas. He works independently, but the Williams F1 team have used him for a number of their drivers, both with their racers and their testers. Rob has been doing this for over 20 years, after initially taking coaching up whilst racing sportscars. Wilson is still in the music business, as he has a band called Grand Prairie, who perform all over the world. Came close to a Grand Prix start as well in 1981, with both Fittipaldi and Tyrrell, but didn't have the funds to get his big break. Rob also raced for many years in America.
