Longtime Japanese based driver, who has won three Formula 3 titles in as many continents - he has the 2003 German and 2006 Japanese, as well as the 1999 Sudam class B title- to his credit, as well as the 2010 Formula Nippon title, which paved the way to his one-off Indycar event in 2011. That year also saw him compete in Super GT and Super Formula rides, the former of which he still continued in 2018. 2018, however, also saw a move to his homeland, racing in touring cars. He remains in Japan in 2024, still in Super GT, but will race in Europe in sports cars to dovetail his main driving duties.
