A stalwart of Australian racing, Abrahams was a long-time open-wheel racer in either Australian Formula 2, which he won in 1987, and the Australian Driver's Championship. He also raced in sportscars, both in Australia and internationally. Abrahams then returned to Australia to become a team owner in Formula Holden, before leaving the sport in the early 2000's. He then became - and remains - a businessman. He is currently managing director of the Loucom Group in Morabbin, Victoria. This is a family run firm, started by Arthur's dad, Lou (hence the name) and amongst its portfolio is investment firms, food production, finance brokerage, property asset and storage facility options.
