Now lives in Arizona where he runs and builds golf courses. Also owns a racing school, works as a spotter and does some TV commentary. Was a high school mathematics teacher before his racing career. Now works as a businessman. Sneva was more of a basketball fan and player before taking up stock car racing when he was twenty-one and then became an accomplished modified car driver. He soon moved to Indycars where he enjoyed a long and successful career which included two Indycar Championships in 1977 and 1978, as well as winning the Indianapolis 500 in 1983.
