Works as a performance driving instructor and was also a CART steward, acting as Champcar's chief steward between 2001 and 2004. Also raced in endurance events until 2001. Chris started his career in 1979, and won the SCCA Central Formula Ford series. Although he had his moments in single-seaters, his best results came in Trans-Am, where he won three times and right at the end of his career, he won the 2001 Daytona 24 Hour race, retiring soon after to take up his stewardship role. Kneifel currently lives in Arizona.
